Subject: Report on the activities of the Cameroonian diaspora during the friendly football match of October 12, 2023 between the Cameroonian and Russian national teams

Moscow, October 16, 2023

We have formed a football team of 35 players from the indomitable lions supporters. This team is composed of undergraduate and graduate students studying in Russia, as well as members of the diaspora living in the Russian Federation.

We organized with the support of the Russian football federation, the association of supporters of the Russian national team and the Dynamo Moscow football club, the first match in the history of football for fans of Russia and Cameroon which ended with a friendly score of 3-3. The match took place on October 12, at 13 o’clock, in the arena of the Dynamo Sports Academy. This match was included in the official program of the day of the meeting between the national football teams of Russia and Cameroon.

For this meeting, we raised funds to buy in Cameroon and send to Russia by plane 16 sets of T-shirts / shorts / socks for our team and more than 1000 small flags and bracelets in the colors of Cameroon which were given free of charge to Cameroonian fans at the stadium.

We also offered 2000 free tickets for the Cameroon Russia football match to the Cameroonian (coming from 21 cities in Russia) and African community, their friends, their families and as well as Russian partners.

We organized a WhatsApp video meeting with His Excellency Roger Milla and the Russian Football Federation to invite him to the match on October 12, but for administrative reasons and lack of time his arrival could not be organized!

As part of the preparation of this friendly football match, our main objective was to gather Cameroonian citizens residing in Russia and help them support our national team, the pennant of our country. The office of our diaspora has taken the necessary measures so that our beloved football team can receive the worthy support of the members of the Cameroonian diaspora in Russia.

The President of the Cameroonian Diaspora,
Louis Gouend
